Tides don’t affect how many people can cross each year and they don’t not affect the steering of a boat. The water is too deep. They simply go with the flow.

They aren't and their resources are better spent elsewhere. Their books show that they cannot afford to have 1/3rd of their SE stations activity running taxis for illegals.

They get involved because they are a free resource that is exploited.

Would you buy AA/RAC membership if a charity offered free recovery?
