£3500 a reasonable price for 3-bed house rewire?

I was just wondering if the regulars here think £3500 is a reasonable price for a full rewire in a 3 bed house, occupants will be vacating for duration and property is located in Surrey.

I had a look at Which and QuotationCheck and they seem to agree.

£3500 is not just a reasonable price but quite a good price and its even down south too.

Does the person who has quoted that come recommended?

Is it a binding quote, or an estimate?

Are you specifying the numbers and locations of accessories or leaving it to the electrician?

Are you specifying the make of accessories?

Are you just having the (probably by now inadequate) old design transferred, or bringing it up to date wrt numbers and types of circuits?

Are you going for an all-RCBO CU?
