Hi Guys

One more to do so thought I'd ask the brain trust again.

Here is the old switch. It has 4 terminals and has live to C1, L2, whilst Neutral is on L1.

My new switch has 3 terminals; Com, L1 and L2.

How do I wire that up? I do have an intermediate switch available too with 4 terminals (L1 X2 and L2 x 2) but this is just a single switch. (It feeds to a 2 way downstairs so we have 2 switches for the same light but that one is done)

Thanks in advance!!

Just copy the triangular formation - making sure not to mix up the two reds.

On the two-way switch there are only three terminals so difficult to get wrong.

On the intermediate switch, it does not matter which terminal you use on the end with only one wire.

Hi Ceepeebee,

Also don't forget to connect the earth to the new switch faceplate from the backbox.

Huggybear.

Cheers guys - I'd wired it up as so...was just waiting for the experts to confirm before I turned the breaker in again :) I'm not dead so yay!
