36 Tory MPs accused : Westminster sexual harassment scandal

I see the word is Andrea Leadsom twisted the knife.

Did she do it due to to a sense of public duty or because Fallon was one of those with potential for the top job?

Circling sharks?

Why would Fallon want to touch up an ugly cow like Andrea Leadsom.
If he did touch her up he deserves the sack on the grounds of taste alone.

notch and trans seem to be working on the assumption that they know which of his inappropriate escapades was responsible for his eventual resignation.

he has a long record as a drinker, a groper, and a man of lewd suggestions.

He jumped before much went public.

There is no reason to suppose that his silly behaviour with Julia Hartley-Brewer was the reason for his resignation. IMO that was put about to give the impression that he was just a daft older man with a weakness for busty younger women.

Theres no doubt he must have too many skeletons, nobody would resign over a touched knee.

I wouldnt have put it past Leadsom to dig the knife in though.

Whos the skinny guy thats replaced Fallon -Ive never heard of him.

The Tories seem to specialise in backstabbing each other ,I suppose this is what happens when you elevate simple greed and self interest to the status of a political philosophy like Conservatism.
Maybe Leadsom still wants the top job so getting rid of Fallon means one Less rival for TM's job,

No 10 was presented with details of an alleged sexual assault by Sir Michael Fallon hours before he resigned, a Conservative MP has revealed.
The prime minister’s team was confronted by a “person with great courage” who set out allegations against the former defence secretary on Wednesday, Anna Soubry has told The Times.
Sir Michael and Theresa May met on Wednesday afternoon and he announced his resignation with immediate effect that evening. He had apologised on Monday night for repeatedly putting his hand on the journalist Julia Hartley-Brewer’s knee during the Conservative Party conference in 2002.
