Low energy lights are often given a comparison to the standard bulb in terns of brightness. (Who'd have thought we'd have to wean ourselves off the traditional bulb in this way?)
So what is a 38W 2d light fitting approx equivalent to?

I've seen many links state 150-200W.

In any case, they're very bright.
I have a tasklight with a 38W 2D lamp in and it's surprising how much light it emits 8)

I'd reckon a 28W is brighter than a 100W GLS lamp, and 38W are between a 150W - 200W lamp.

55W 2D lamps are REALLY bright 8)

We had them spec'd on an office refurb I did a few years ago.

Never seen them installed anywhere else before or since then

Fitted these (or something very like it) in an office block in Leeds CC years ago.

dont trust any claim that says 5 to 5.5 times the output you will be dissapointed
just multiply by 4 times the output on any off the mini tube lamps to get the normal bulb equivilent then you wont be dissapointed so 152 is spot on

And the lamps have to be ordered in specially.... and folk try and tell you that there is no such thing
