I'm looking to install around 40m of 6 inch gaspipe, and then 4 spurs off of it of around 100m each of 4inch gaspipe. Each spur will be feeding 8 gas heaters.
Im not Corgi registered, i am however a competant pipe fitter, with over 4 years experience (business partner has been doing air/oil pipe fitting for over 30 years).
I'll be looking at buying the pipe in 6 metre sections pre assembled with flanges (or paying someone to visit site to do the welding).
I'll be installing all of the big pipe work, and the mechanical and electrical installation of the gas heater.
I will then be looking to use a Corgi registered gas person to do the final connections to the heaters, and to purge the system and run all the checks.
Is this ok to do, or would i need a Corgi registered person installing all of the pipe work with me?
