A recent survey suggests that

Fat people should be treated equal to the rest of us. We should all be equal. Yet if someone who is less able to look after them selfs we should do the right thing.

From a personal view I would like to see more fat white 100 meter runners taking part in the Olympics.

Yes, I would like to perform at the Royal Opera House but I am prevented from doing so simply because I can't sing and don't know the words.

This is blatant discrimination and because I am white I can't even claim it's racism (Otello, perhaps).

The world is not fair.
Frequently people are prevented from doing jobs they would like just because they can't do them.
What a sad state of affairs.

"An employment expert said that obesity should become a legally protected characteristic like race & sex"

What characteristic next...racism?

Actually he did, he gave the name of the journo and what the article was about. It doesn't take long to find the article if you really wanted to.

As John says, "we have to winkle the source" out of a**e end. Why can he not provide links to the source as you just did?
I know why, he likes to misrepresent the reported details.
It was not a survey, it was a 'study'. We have no idea who carried out this study, what the process was, what the purpose was, etc.
A**e end goes on to add some other details supposedly in this 'study' but again no references given to his source.

He regularly misrepresents the details of what he heard or read, twisted to support his particular bigoted view.

Do u discriminate against the obese **y r bee ? ;)

No reason to pay any attention to it, then.

I don't know why you randomly quote stuff you found trawling the net, when you have no idea of its source, veracity or value.

Was it mentioned at the Surrey Fat Plumbers convention?

There is no mention of the Times, or the author's name, and no link, in his initial post.

Are you grumbling that I tried to winkle the source out of his reluctant grasp?
No, not grumbling, just that I was dragged up to be polite when I wanted something, not be scornful.

Also -

It's about time women were stopped from exploiting men. #mentoo
Absolutely, I wonder when men will stop exploiting women too? And oppression? Novel thought, lets hope one day men and women are equal over the whole world and treat each other with respect.

You were just trying to shoot the messenger again.
No matter what the message is or was, the messenger, in your case, gets the bullet for daring to crticise or put forward a counter argument to a**e end.
You two must have some sort of symbiotic relationship.
