The alarm failed to set and came up with a fault which said Tel line failed. I have the engineers code and tried to do a reset of the system which resets the system but then it says user reset required.

how do i do a user reset?

any help appreciated, thanks :)

You have a ADT engineer code?
So you must have the ADT user manual?
Or the ADT phone number?

What alarm is it too, lost my crystal ball.

yes i have the manual but it doesn't say anything about a user reset.
can you help?

the contract is finished. it is a honeywell galaxy 2 series with a MK7 keypad

Scroll through the alerts with the master code and acknowledge them.
Then set.

But this will happen all the time if the phone line has been removed.

Turn off line monitor in engineers menus. If you have the engineer manual.

i tried that already, it just keeps coming up with user reset required, I don't have to engineers manual. and not sure what the master code is but 1234 seemed to work

1234 let me access a menu. but the fault is still coming up as tel line fault,
have also tried setting the alarm with fault but it says not possible to set.

If a fault condition occurs when the system is unset, an ‘Alert!’ message will be shown on the
keypad accompanied by an intermittent beep. If this occurs, you should go to the nearest
keypad and type in your PIN code and press ent. The keypad display will show what has
happened. The scroll keys A> and B< should be used to scroll through the message screens. If
the condition has cleared, pressing ent or esc will reset the fault condition. A fault condition
cannot be reset if it has not cleared or if it has not been viewed by a user.
If you cannot clear the fault condition yourself, always call the installer for advice.

As I said it will keep doing this, you need to have the programming changed.

hello again , how do u alter the programming to not monitor the phone line :D

I may have to get an engineer out thanks for your help :D

It could be their property if it is leased.
If not get them to get it to work as you wish and give you the engineers code.
Or get in a local company, NSI or SSAIB.
