Has anyone ever replaced these springs?
My 18v Ryobi grinder had lost power and was sparking.
I opened it up, inside revealed blackening on the brush connecting cable, and the coiled spring that holds the brush down was weak, and also blackened. The other side was ok.
I'm guessing something was arcing and causing the spring to overheat and lose it's temper.
Have managed to put it back together, in the process the too of the spring snapped off, although I have it and extra wind and it's now sort of holding the brush down. It's got it's power back but I should probably replace the spring.
These are a available on eBay for a few quid, I'm guessing they are much of a muchness? I can't find a specific Ryobi one.
