Anyone Stupid enough?..............

Meals were based on 4 of us - 3 adults, 1 child, sharing a mixture of main courses and a couple of side dishes.

Bear in mind that this is for a takeaway and not a proper banquet/3 course meal.

Hey geraint, how much does it cost you for 3 adults and a child when you go over to thailand?

I ordered a pizza this evening via phone

The lady asked me if I wanted it cut up into 6 or 8 slices

I thought about it, and said "better cut it into 6 slices as I don't think I could manage 8"

£40 per head for what? a starter is a fiver.. a steak 15 quid, and a dessert a fiver... that's 25 quid, and most people only do 2 courses... and you said drinks not included?

I see the white lightening is going down well tonight..... :D :D :D

Too long a thread to read through, but my daughter got a text yesterday offering a pizza delivery service at £7.50. She declined the offer.

You ever been to Santana's in Cradlewell, Jesmond? Used to be good but it's gone to the dogs of late according to my wife on a recent visit to her friends up there.

If you are talking about Jesmond Road, have got to disagree. It's my 'local' and is as good as you get.

A fiver for a starter..... Think again...and a steak in a chinese..... Never....

Plus all the extras..... They soon all add up....[/quote]

don't worry.... i'll delete the quotes, so we don't get done by the mods....

the steak was a representation.... a chinese meal for 40 quid is just excess.... you couldn't eat that (although you's feel hungry straight the way after  )

The pub next door is The Cradlewell, and the restaurant has wacky tiles on the wall. If it is the one, then hopefully my wife's last experience in May was a one off then, since it's always been a great place to go.

It's a mystery why anyone is having a dig at geraint for spending £40+ per head. If that's what it costs round his neck of the woods for the sort of meals he buys, then that's what it costs. :?

You always do....As an example... my mother had her first chinese meal about a month ago.... £30 per head with no booze, as i was not there, and she left the restaurant hungry...

You must live in a different world up north.... Even a basic meal in a curry shop for me will set me back about £25... and thats without a cobra....
