Hi

I have dug out a small area in the bathroom where the toilet was located so i could move the wc pan connection closer to the wall. I have now done this, what sand/cement ratio is required to fill the area back up? is it 3:1? and what type of sand, sharp sand, building sand or ballast?

cheers

1 sand, 2 aggregate (6mm), 1 cement.
Should give a good strong mix.

But you may be better getting a bag of ballast

Go to homebase or B & Qs and get a bag ready mixed, just add water,it will save you a lot of bother.
all the best.
