Both essentially the same but baxi is more expensive as it comes with 7 yr warranty, other one has 5 years (both made by Baxi)
Both have limited on board controls, you need to pair it with a decent thermostat , it will works with all popular ones out there.
The modulation ratios are not very good now on these now, i think its 1:5 whilst other manufacturers can achieve 1:10.
Mine main eco compact developed a small leak just above the diverter valve, repairrd under warranty, then it leaked agian but seems to have sealed it self, i think this is a common fault.

The main eco compact (5 year warranty)and the new baxi 800/2 are different boilers
The old 800 that is the same as the eco compact is now called the baxi platinium compact .(10 year warranty). The old 600 with 7 year warranty is now called the baxi duo tec compact .
Fitted just under 60 of them and had 1 play up and never had a diverter leak on one .
There is about a 600 quid difference in price between them purely for the warranty i would go for the Main eco compact dont see the point of spending all that extra on a warranty on a very reliable boiler

Buy it now as due to government heat pump directive they will be going up in price around 150 quid on first of Jan 24

Cracking boiler very quiet and very reliable you wont regret it
And that is why so many baxi installers are turning to them same boiler and hundreds cheaper

you either need to adjust the gas valve or you havent flushed it properly
Eww, preferably neither. They aren't particularly good boilers
