Best approach for a new home office

Hi all
I am currently reinstating a single storey outbuilding in the back garden (approx 12x4m) with the intention of making it my office once complete, undertaking architecture work. Whilst i dont think i will ever employ anyone else, i would love some help and guidance on whether a wireless router from a new BT line into it would be the best way to go, or whether i should look to use CAT5 / CAT6 cabling for a safer and faster connection, be including for networking, what future proofing i would need etc etc?!!

It will be a solid floor construction with underfloor heating included, and will be fully run by electric as there will be no gas or oil connection.
I am keen to include automated lighting as it will also be used as a family / summer room which will include a full AV home cinema system and SKY.

So any help from you experts would be very much appreciated before i first ask someone to price it and then actually build it!!

Personally I would run several cables, CAT5/6 including spare ones, put them around the room too so that you can move around, plug in extra devices etc.

Don't forget phone lines, intercom, you name it - add it - its only wire.

Run in as many cat 5 cables as you think you could possibly ever need, and then run the same amount again. and again.

You can use them for all sorts these days. Everything from telephone to CCTV to HD telly. Fantastic stuff, and as technology moves on, i'm sure you'll end up using them more and more.
