Thanks for the link! Thats what im looking for.

Why would the gas supply need upgrading? :-/

Because the boiler might need more gas than the current pipe can give it.

If you want a number for a gas fitter I know in the manchester area (he fitted mine and is entirely legitimate and gassafe registered), then accept my "friend"ship via the link at the top of the page and I'll give you his number.

Ah I didn't realise that!
I know a gass fitter that lives just up my road so I will have to check with him then. Hes local and hopefully wont rip me off!

Ok - it remains an open offer. (He lives in chortlon)

At the minute you could get a baxi 105he including flue and clock for 499 from plumb center.

Reason being as of October this year Band B's become non Part L compliant so expect to see loads of others going cheap.

I have yet to visit/service a Potterton/Baxi/Main band B boiler that has ever had a drop of condensate in the trap

I'm pretty sure its 2010, so you got 1 more year ;)

"The new revisions to Part L of the Building Regulations covering the conservation of fuel and power will come into force in October 2010"

they must produce it cos most seem to leak from the nasty plastic weld around the botttom of the trap.
