Blimey Bengasman, you're like a dog with a bone. Getting someone to work for you then stopping their cheque may be morally wrong, but it is NOT ILLEGAL.

You mentioned breach of contract. Yes, it possibly is. However, breach of contract is (as I have already explained several times) civil law and not criminal law. Therefore, it is not contained in The Statute Books, and therefore not illegal.
