Waking up this morning, LBC propaganda made out this was a weak win.
We all knew NF would win, and we all knew this was a pointless exercise. Thst said the biased was blatantly obvious.
Farage was also right to stay away.
Definitely not Fromage. Folk (nationwide) have little faith in him, especially the young. He has the Brexit badge of shame, bribery, dishonesty, the Trump connetcion (NHS, Football, political grigfting for personal gain) and he's a wealthy ex-Tory (poisened chalice) establishment type.
We are not as gullible as the Yanks, even those with low IQ's. Burnham would wipe the floor with him.

Lets have a look shall we...
1) Tax cuts favouring the wealthy, leaving the welfare system weaker.
"Work should always be rewarded. We will cut taxes on workers, reduce the burden on families, and ensure that people are always better off in work than on benefits. The welfare system will support only those British citizens who cannot get by without government help, and it will no longer trap people in dependency or penalise effort. If you work hard and play by the rules, Britain should work for you."
- benefits make you better off than a low paid job. do you disagree?
- Certain immigrant groups are over represented as benefits claimants. do you disagree?
So if we want people to be net contributors we should incentivise them, surely?
2) Damaging the NHS.
"Under a Reform UK Government, the NHS will remain free at the point of use, funded by general taxation. We will improve the NHS by working to redirect funding from back office bloat back into frontline services. Successive Conservative and Labour Governments have failed our NHS, leaving patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes at record lows."
Where is the damage?
3) Scrapping or weakening net zero.
"British households and businesses are being crushed by among the highest energy costs in the world - driven by bad ideological policy. Reform UK will prioritise energy security, expand domestic energy production, and scrap policies that drive bills higher while making Britain more dependent on foreign energy. Lower energy costs mean lower prices, higher wages, and a stronger economy."
We represent 1% of global emissions, we need our efforts to be matched. The UK economy will shrink if we lead the charge on net zero. You also have to look at some of the Net Zero department achievements and external critical reviews.
4) Claiming to know how to solve the small boats problem when he caused it!
There is no credible evidence that Reform or Nigel Farage caused the rise in illegal boats. I welcome your evidence arguing otherwise as long as it's not "Brexit happened at the same time" or "under the Dublin agreement we could send them back". We were net receivers under Dublin in the latter years and there is a stronger link to Covid causing a backlog than anything Brexit related.
They have multiple policies on this they can be summarised as adopting a hostile approach. It has worked for others, their policy needs tweaking, but currently we are paying over 600M a year for the French to have little more than a visible deterrent. It's actually in both our interests to stop the crossings.

The Burnham bounce has leapfroged Labour over reform....... just about.....
What can Andy do amazingly well that will keep Labour that lead.....
As DIY has said. Getting into government is a small % of the battle. Changing things is Andys difficulty now.
When changes dont bounce along like a Burnham bomb, then Reform will pick up those hard to turn Labour voters, who finally throw in their red towel.

at some point he has to fund his ideas. Tactically he brings in a soft budget hoping people forget all the Labour policies that will start to bite fro 2027.

Exactly this. Bucket head celebrates the Bouncing Burnham bubble ..... But shouldn't Labour really be miles ahead of Reform?
If Burnham turns out to be amazing improvement to the last Labour and Tory governments, then he may grow in popularity. My guess will be that hes just another weak dream boater..
