Backing plates I have looked at are made from urea formaldehyde, I want ABS plastic as this materiel is less brittle and I want to punch holes in it with a hole punching machine ...Help

May I humbly appologise for my previous flippancy. Although, in the past, abs was commonly used in electrical components, it seems that it is not so, nowadays. If you need a large number perhaps you could check out these people.

Try searching Marshall Tufflex site, or MITA site. All wholesalers sell these brands.

I think they will be known as PVC not ABS.
