Boris ! BORIS !! BORIS !!!!!!!!

which is why it is so important to read the manifestos and make a decision on who you think is best to run the country well based on that.
Can you name one manifesto that has been largely held to, especially on the 'big promises'?

Some do want to make positive changes, many put the country first.
And very soon most of those realise that the 'system' won't allow their ideological changes...

So over time they simply fall into the 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em' majority - self serving 'representatives' we have to endure!

I dont really think thats true, many MPs are sincere.......just almost none of the current Tory ones.

The real difficulty is that in order for politicians to get elected, they need to campaign for policies that the public want to vote for - whether such policies are lies or not, the pragmatic view of a politician has to be, Ill get voted in, then once Im in power I can do the things that actually work.

So -

you are saying that democracy is a pretence (as per Mark Twain), and

the 'will of the people' an unattainable delusion to be ignored.

Might as well revoke Article 50 now, then.

Buffoon Boris used to say "we will definitely leave, deal or no deal, on 31 October"

He's stopped saying it.

If Buffoon gets to be PM, does anyone still believe we will definitely leave, deal or no deal, on 31 October?

If someone else gets the job, does anyone still believe we will definitely leave, deal or no deal, on 31 October?

No, but it's a much better way to make a decision than just reading the Daily Mail, Express etc. They may not do everything in the manifesto, but if their policies and objectives are in line with your own thoughts on how things should be, then that is probably the best you're gonna get!

If those publications are your 'control model', then you're not exactly setting your own standards very high are you!

'probably the best you're gonna get' just about sums up the relentless repetitive failure of our archaic undemocratic system!

Publications cited as typical examples of rags that feed the public BS.

We have to work with what we have - revolution seems unlikely!

Boris for MP!

Boris, born in America!
Boris, the great-grandson of a Turkish immigrant
Boris, the great-grandson of a Russian immigrant (thus the nickname Boris)
Boris, the son of liberal intellectual Charlotte Fawcett
Boris, the Eton buffoon who read classical literature before becoming an MP.

Yes, Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson, the perfect man to lead a Brexit Britain!

Hang on, i didn't think we liked immigrant families taking all the top jobs nowadays?

Ha, that's funny. We are not leaving the EU.

They'll announce it on 31st October. "Sorry, we tried to get a good deal for Britain, but the EU did not wish to negotiate a good deal. So we are forced to abandon Brexit.".

That'll be Lord Pfeffel Johnson says on the steps of Downing Street in a few months time. And in years to come he will be praised for doing what is right, and be made a Lord, and will finally end his career on the high that he has been aiming for since he started studying politics at Eton in 1977.
