Brexit Negotiations proceeding, er...... well...... er....

Ah so the ruin is yet to come?
Let me know when it arrives.

"Project fear is becoming project reality. Each day brings new evidence of the dire consequences of Brexit. Sometimes it takes the form of a big company announcing that it’s moving operations from the UK to the continent, taking hundreds or thousands of jobs with it. It could be
JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs or Samsung, depending on the day of the week.

Or it may be a plea from a key industry voicing its fears of a mismanaged departure from the EU. This week it was medicine and aviation. Eight pharmaceutical trade associations
wrote a joint letter warning that the supply of “life-saving medicines” faces disruption, while UK airports cautioned that all flights to Europe could be suspended if there’s no deal to replace the EU “open skies” agreement."

All this scare mongering caper :) reminds me to a certain extent when we entered the new millenium (year 2000 ) & all the computers would go t*ts up

planes would fall out the sky , missiles would get fired etc etc civilisation as we knew it would come to an end

food shortages would ensue :) The world would come to an end

Fact is the EU are bricking it ;) as it could be the beginning of the end for them :)

They need to talk tough , make it difficult in order to dis-courage others ;)

And that's why millions of man-hours, and billions of pounds, were spent analysing the systems and processes, and changing or replacing them to prevent the problems occurring.

Did you think it all happened by magic?

We live in a democracy, the vote was cast .......why do silly frightened remains continually cacking their pants go about the problems?

We all knew there would be complexities in the withdrawal process why can't the remainers get that in their thick heads .......The end result is that we will be free of the pathetic Eu. That's what people want. That's what people voted for.

If you don't like it emigrate to the EU. ....Please ........and don't let the door handle hit you in the ass on the way out.

Do you live in Putin's Russia, where criticism of the government is not permitted?

Do you always support the government of the day, no matter what its policies?

Did you loyally support the EU until the day after the referendum?

No, no, and no.

it was all nonsense a complete rip off by computer scam artists. Playing the "what if scam " knowing full well there was not a what if :)

bit like the EU a rip off employing thousands of scam artists ;)

Your ignorance is exceeded only by your stupidity.

Y2k (as it was known) was a potential issue perpetuated by those in the know and feared by the ignorant. All it resulted in was the government paying those in the know, £millions to conduct studies on potential risks and outcomes. The 'What if' scenario is a common phrase used by scaremongers. In the end, it was found that computers going 1998,1999,2000 did not cause any significant problems. And the world didn't end!!

And as for missile systems, there was and still is the MMI (Man Machine Interface) whereby it requires an operator to 'authorize' an engagement.

As John said, their ignorance is only exceeded by their stupidity
Prior to the 'millenium bug' computers were only recognising two figures in the DOBs, in fact in all dates.
Therefore the computers were unable to compute ages correctly. To manually correct the problem for all databases, for all people on those databases would have required far more manual input than was required to re-programme all systems to recognise a four date configuration.
Obviously, this problem was not limited to DOBs, but all dates were affected.
Thus all benefits, wages, salaries, interest payments, etc, you name it, it would have been affected.
Even updates for computer systems would have been affected because the later 2000+ updates would have appeared to be older updates than those dated in the 1990's etc. Therefore the newer updates would have been discarded for older updates.
It was only because of re-programming for the 'millenium bug' that allowed systems to continue to function correctly.

A breakdown of EU referendum data has shown people with a lower education level were much more likely to vote for Brexit

But we know you voted to remain Noseall, so that statment can't be right. Plus by the use of the words " much more likely", it shows it's an opinion, not a fact.

Beyond that little quip, (and no real offence intended, just couldn't resist it) there were undoutably a lot of people who voted for brexit that did so as a protest vote, but I think there are so many remainers that the comments applies to as well; so many on both sides can't really understand the complexities of the situation, and that's really down to the idiots on both sides that were running it.

the words " much more likely", it shows it's an opinion, not a fact.

Wrong.

It is not "an opinion" that people in their 80's are much more likely to die tomorrow than people in their 40's. It is a fact.

So how does someone in their eighties have a lower educational level than someone in their forties?
