Brexit shambles prevents Government from doing its job

"Brexit is delaying key pieces of policy and legislation, angering ministers and officials, amid reports of paralysis across Whitehall as the government focuses on solving the current crisis, the Guardian has learned.

Why should a prime minister need to seek a consensus to leave the EU when a majority had voted leave.
The reason the UK is in the mess it is in now is because the PM has been trying to reconcile two diametrically opposed viewpoints by coming up with half-baked ideas which don't have the support of either side.
