British made ventilators already in use

It's a CPAP machine.

Mercedes F1 - so sounds very German to me.

"The Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) device, which was re-engineered from an existing machine in fewer than 100 hours,"

But Britain's National Health Service has recommended the devices be used to treat coronavirus patients, saying the risk of infection is low so long as staff wear personal protective equipment.

...working together to fight the virus.

Maybe we have a government where the man at the top, and Boris, are so anti-EU that they are willing to damage the country.

"British officials took part in four meetings where EU projects to bulk-buy medical kit were discussed – the earliest in January, according to official minutes that heap doubt on government claims of missing an email.

Last week Downing Street claimed that it failed to take part in an EU scheme to source life-saving ventilators and other kit to treat coronavirus because it accidentally missed the deadline."

run down the UK....

Looks like Cummings and Johnson are doing that.

Hold that feeling of pride, Notchy will be along very soon trying to make you feel ashamed to be British.

I am very proud to be part of the United Kingdom.

Unlike you, fillyboy etc who voted for Johnson to go ahead and break up this great Union, and make it poorer and weaker.

You are a treacherous traitor to this country: youve even admitted you applaud the backhanders Matt Hancock has received to encourage him to break up the NHS -you clearly hate the success of this country and want it ruined.

I remember Basil Brush on telly in the 70's when we had black-outs, that's next. Keep torches on stand by.

Andy

My Dad at the time was a financial director for a manufacturing company -they rather naughtily bought black out blinds for all the offices and factory and carried on working during the 3 day week rules

Yes, read that the other day, not looking good (for any country but at least some are being more reactive), next financial meeting is nearly two weeks time, by the time Germany and Holland have agreed to cough up a few euros, Italy will have left.
As for pulling together to source ventilators, as far as I can see all they've achieved so far is pulling together to have meetings and discuss the issue.

You say that with some perverted pride that your father was happy to work for a company that chose to ignore government advice when others were following it. Would your dad would 'rather naughtily' ignore the current advice from the government today if still working for that naughty, cheeky chappy company of scoundrels?
