I have a LAP brand Security light I think these are the ones sold by Screwfix.

The LED Bulb is about to go. Does anyone know if I can get replacement bulbs or do I have to replace the whole unit?

I don't see anything about bulbs in the instructions. The part numbers on the instructions is L3292S-B (122CC)
and L3292S-W (475FY)

Thanks :)

You have to replace the whole unit.
Interestingly, they've also been the subject of a product safety notice.
Apparently they are known to fill up with water!

LAP products have one positive feature, they are cheap.
Maybe, but I've had no concerns about them with the loads I've used. To date only 2 premature failures: Pull switch in rental bathroom - but who knows how heavy handed the tenant is and one floodlight of three which ran 24/365 which failed after a few months and replaced under warranty.

I've had to replace a number with physical damage but that was probably the reason I started using cheaper products in the first pace.

Lap led floodlights are best avoided

Replace it with a unit which has a 3 year warranty

For what it's worth as of 4 months ago all 3 of these are still running 24/365, I did the replacement of the failed unit in April 20.

Thanks, that is what I thought. I have had no issues with water inside! as far as I know. I will look when I replace it.
I have had it two and a bit years I think. Its on the back door step so gets all weathers. :)

Seemingly no need - the LAP ones appear to come with the duration of warranty you want ...

Reading that safety notice, my reaction is that it's pointing out someting that should be obvious, if you put a flat cable in a hole obviously designed for a round one then there is the potential for water ingress.

I had one get water in, and with the PIR at the bottom it required some careful drilling to give the water a path out, so as not to hit the electrics, but used a cordless drill with some care

and 1/16" hole cured all problems.

,,, probably "cured all problems" only for a while, since such a small hole will fairly quickly get bunged up - by general crud, bits of spiders or whatever. Indeed, even before such a small hole gets blocked up, surface tension will mean that quite a lot of water could accumulate inside the box before any started coming out.

A somewhat bigger hole would therefore probably be preferable, at least in one sense. However, there are admittedly swings and roundabout - since the bigger the hole, the more likely it is that unintended visitors will 'creep in' :)
