Changing a light switch

The plastic switch component on my tennants bathroom light switch has come off. I went to change the switch and found a lot more wires behind than I was expecting. Bit of a novice with this sort of thing but felt confident after watching a video on YouTube. Was just expecting a one way switch. The internal connections were labelled L1,N1 L2 N2. Can anyone point me towards the right kind of switch from b&q/homebase? Thanks in advance.

Does an extractor fan come on with the light?

It is a 20A Double Pole switch.

However, the wiring looks a bit odd.

Any chance of separating the wires so we can see exactly where they go and the markings on the switch.

Entirely inappropriate for you to be replacing electrical items in this situation.

For the sake of the Tennant and the EICR; good choice.
I may be the only one, but I'd still be interested to hear what your electrician says about that switch!

That Grumpy view on the subject may have just saved you from getting hurt
