If you have an advanced craft city and guilds in plumbing from the 197os Nigel you should be a very proud man because you own what was in it's time the then highest qualification in plumbers work - in-fact you could say that it's a degree in plumbing (my tutor did).

Year3 plumbing city and guilds
Year4 advanced plumbing city and guilds (which was optional)
This is the way it was in the 60s-70s.
When I started work in the early 70s the guys who'd done the 5 year apprenticeship in the 50s said that the 4years that I was doing was not long enough and I couldn't possibly learn to be a plumber in such a short time! Sound familiar ?
