Blimey, I recall Cliff and his prospective wife Jean Metcalfe presenting presenting 'Two-Way Family Favourites' a background to the aroma of Sunday lunch in preparation, late 1950's.

They all did very well during their lives and times.

There have been a lot of high-profile entertainment personality deaths in the last 6 to 12 months. I reckon we are seeing the beginning of the end of the first television generation of entertainers; people who became household names thanks to TV.

Yes, the same with rock stars; there weren't any before them so we haven't been used to them dying (of old age).
