Hi, I would like to fit a closed couple toilet to replace the rather bulky old style one. My main worry is that in the past I’ve had one fitted by a plumber and the cistern ended up about 30mm from the wall. At the moment the front of the 90deg pan connector is 160mm from the wall and the centre is 200mm from the floor. I believe I can adjust the height. A lot of the toilets I’ve seen don’t seem to have the dimensions from the back of the cistern to the end of the pan outlet. Here are some photos of the old toilet, the connections at the back and the cheapo new one from Screwfix which gets excellent reviews.

You should be able to fit pretty much anything you like with the soil pipe in that position
