They have now discovered in the totalitarian state of Australia that covid can survive on some surfaces for up to 28 days.

Apparently the surface it likes best is mobile phone screen glass.

It was weird when pubs became open all day.

Yep, from memory - around 11:30 to 14:00, the 17:00 to 10:00 or 10:30. Around here, beyond the cities boundary, we had 10:30 and they used to make a beeline up here from the city for the later closing time. In some areas, they never opened at all on a Sunday.

They said long ago, that the virus survives much longer on a hard, impervious surface, than a soft surface such as cloth, paper or cardboard.

I gather that the means of transmission is now identified as inhalation of virus in water droplets in the air, resulting from breathing, talking, coughing or sneezing; and that touching doorknobs or money is a bit of a red herring.
