Coving Disaster?

Hi guys,

I recently had someone come in and fit coaving for me due to my disability preventing me from doing so, and I’ve had these gaps in there.

Is this normal, if so is this any product I can use to fill those gaps?

I can take further up pictures if required, thank you.

In the first picture, it looks like there is a step in the level where the pieces of coving butt up.

If this is the case, it's going to be tricky to hide it.

No its not normal and the workmanship is shocking, there shouldn't be any need for joints on the chimney breast. Possibly with a little care and skimming over with Gyproc coving adhesive and some gentle rubbing down you might be able to salvage the situation. I had a similar situation, but not as bad, when I moved into my house several years ago and managed to make the joints visably acceptable.

This sort of thing really gets on my goat .

Unskilled workers coming round your house and take your money for a worthless poor quality job. Its only a few notches below burglary...
