Death of a legend, RIP John Noakes

It was good that some credit was given to the camera man who was up there waiting. Cameramen ( and women ) seldom get the recognition of the couragous things they do to get the film of a personality being brave ( or stupid ).

As you say John Noakes was a legend.

Just seen Simon Groom on line. Wow, he's changed!

Made a great gaffe - "There's a great pair of knockers!"

Do you mean this fat bloke?

Everyone who's always been on telly is popping off.

We got a tv in 1954 - when I was seven - oh dear.

Rolf Harris was on - we didn't know about such things, then,
and David Attenborough - that'll be sad if I make it that long,
and The Queen, of course.

No, not the fat bloke. I was looking at the piccy you posted. Just highlights how old one is, I suppose...:(

Simon groom was famous for innuendo's that he'd sneak in - and getting told off for doings so

I thought Val Singleton came out as a lesbian ? It was probably a reaction to knowing I fancied her. Same with Dusty Sprigfield....

She's still kicking... 80 years old!

She's nearly as old as my Mum and I used to fancy her too.

Val, that is, not my Mum!!

I thought Val Singleton came out as a lesbian ?

All a load of cobblers. She has never married, which may have fuelled rumours, but she had romps with several blokes, including Albert Finney in the 50's and PP when they were both on BP.
A supposed affair with Joan Armatrading never happened.
