Not sure i agree with that seeing at interest only mortgages just push up prices
true

I guess given the choice between interest only mortgage and paying rent -the mortgage is a better financial option as you do at least gain the increase in the value of the property, probably fine when you could buy a house for £80k and its now £300k

Seems what ever is fiddled with it just pushes up prices. Like the latest un thought through idea
Councils could gain powers to fine developers for unbuilt homes, under new rules planned by the government.
And that is because the last unthought through idea said that builders would be paying tax on land they own but not started building on - so they start building and leave it at ground level instead
MHCLG said the proposals are intended to “make sure developers deliver on their commitments and do not leave sites half-finished for years”.

And if they do get fined - I dont think that will reduce house prices.

What we really need is to shift some of the economy to the North where we have plenty of room.

until the current government is replaced with a more enlightened one.
you mean a government that cuts taxes for the wealthy and makes ordinary citizens poorer, like the Conservatives or Reform for example

The people who pay all the taxes, tend to benefit from tax cuts.

Good. Now they've transferred it I put the results of trading on this morning's prediction
HERE

A rise of about 35%.
Most days wouldn't be as good, though some better, but if the same method worked out to 26% for you,
And you started with £100
1.26^10 is about 10
So after
10 such days you'd have £1000
20 days £10k
You can work it from there.

You get dead months, but overall about 1 day in 3 is similar, I'd say. I have had 5 in a week, a few times.
If you only make a single percent, that's massive over a year.
And that, ladies and gentlemen, is what you can do if your pension isn't big enough.

Please make any reasonable comments in the other thread.
