I need to fix a DIN rail mount item in a box wot has no rail. I could cut a piece to fit, but it's only 2 modules wide.

I remember once fitting a door bell transformer to a wall - it was a DIN rail device but it came with a small plastic mounting plate that was rail shaped and allowed you to surface mount it.

Anybody know where I could get a mounting plate like that? Googling for likely terms only seems to find the opposite sort of thing - adapters to allow all kinds of non-DIN devices to be fixed to DIN rails....

Jolly decent of you, but it's not the lack of DIN rail that's the problem - it's being @rsed to saw a short piece off, drill it, de-burr it etc, when if I can just buy a small plastic plate... :D

You could try RF Lighting part no. DIN35mm

That is a 35mm piece of DIN rail pre drilled with 2no. 4mm holes, de-burred and packed in quantities of 1 or 10 50p each, or 10 for £4.95 + P&P

that's far cheaper than the equivalent JD part

Is there any Memera busbar in this shed of yours?
