Yes, I have insurance.

But I have a very high excess which deems an insurance claim pointless. I mentioned this in one of my earlier posts.

If you chose to have a very high excess to keep your premium low, you can't complain when someone lands you with a bill which has to be paid out of the savings on the premium!

Many people work anti social hours but they don't get silly money for it. I'd have boarded it up for 50 quid - no probs. Don't pay it and let them take you to court for work that you never authorized - they won't show.
