CCA = copper covered aluminium, not the best option for reliable connections
Oic. I've checked quite a few sites now and most are either cca or copper. Now I know sparky is trying to save me money, which is much appreciated, however I want to order everything by today, so I don't mind paying extra and getting a full reel as I know I can always use it at a later stage again.

You need to buy copper.
Avoid Ebay as you have no garantee about the quality of the items on sale. The "copper" cables on E-bay can be made from impure copper ( worse than CCA ) and the cores may vary in diameter with weak spots

Excellent, thanks bernard. Below is the full shopping list, bringing the cost to just under £400...other than 6mm cable clips, is there anything I've missed or you think I'll require?
Unswitched fuse spur for the alarm panel , just a word of warning you can't take the mains supply through the panel , no room ! it's go to enter top left of the panel ....
Where do I get an unswitched fuse spur from?
