WTF?

If it was somebody new to fleabay they might be waiting for you to send an invoice, do it anyway and attach a message asking for payment asap.

Did you send the item?
I received an item today, ordered & paid for it 6 wks ago. Delivery was due today.
Yesterday I tried to track it & the tracking number was not found, so thought I had been done.

Thanks, guys.

EFLI, Hawkeye, DIY: No, the item is here.

JP: Did just that on 22nd.

Yet the ebay notes say you have to wait at least 2 days before opening an unpaid case. So why 20th December?

Mate you don't send the item until they're paid rule number 1

And payment has cleared !!!! Remember the buyer can say to paypal "I was drunk and made a mistake" and guess what happens...... yep they refund.

It seems the reason for the 32 days delay is that it is in my unpaid assistant settings????

Not that I knew this...

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I'm in dispute with someone who bought an item, cost around £50 with the postage. Got paid ok via paypal & posted the item 1st class signed for. Guy has been messaging me saying where the item so I checked the tracking number & it says its been delivered & signed for. any ebay experts have any suggestions as to what to do ?

Have you told the guy it was signed for and delivered? What does he say?
Has he opened a case against you with ebay/paypal?

He has seen the tracking details & signature of receipt at Royal mail website, but denies signing for it, the signature is digitized so is unreadable. He's opened a case with ebay but I spoke to them before he opened the case & they said if I give tracking details & it has been delivered/signed for then they will find in my favour. Just wondering who is the loser , ie do I refund or not ? I have in the past had signed for items just posted through my door, no signature, just wondering if the postie couldn't get an answer, signed it himself & just posted it, then the buyer decides to try it on ? I understand posties are at full stretch at the moment so are trying to save time.

Yeah, my postie does that too - it shows online signed for a few hours before he even delivers it. Not good!
I'd wait to see how what ebay decides before you decide anything yourself. I wouldn't refund because ebay is full of people who try it on. If they do decide in your fav, you could offer the proof to the buyer and say he could try and make a claim against the PO himself. Tell him that they should investigate his case anyway, it might be all he needs to hear to put him off making a claim if he's fibbing. Good luck!

If it's been signed for, then his dispute is now with Royal mail for not delivering it to him - although I suspect they did. If it was delivered to a neighbour, then they'd have recorded the name of the person, and the house number.

Look on street view, and see if it's a block of flats or a house. If it's flats, then he's got to go round the other flats, but the dispute still would remain with RM for not ensuring the right person received it. You have no responsibility to issue a refund, because you've done nothing wrong.

I've had the same experience as above. And am amazed how PayPal dealt with it to be honest!!

I posted an item. Said it had been signed for buyer said he didn't receive.

Called FedEx and they said was delivered to an neighbour.

Mailed seller and said it had and told him which address

He started getting arsey saying he wanted a refund I said no. Go pick it up, left the case to eBay and they closed the case in my favour. Apparently a valid delivered tracking number is all they require!!! Definitely thought they would take the buyers side, but glad they didn't just because he either couldn't be arsed getting the parcel or was trying it on!!

So, just let it go to eBay. So long as you can prove it's been delivered and signed for!
