Hi I have just switched an old thermostat to hive. I am not sure the old thermostat ever worked. Essentially the boiler is not responding to hive and the heating is constantly on. I have used the same wiring configuration on the old thermostat and havent touched the wiring on the boiler. Do I need to remove one of the loops on the boiler? Yep, remove the red link on 24v side, this is keeping the heating on. Check the boiler case as well, as it may form part of the combustion circuit and may need checking for safety afterwards.

Thanks for your replies I thought it might be this. To confirm I need to remove the RT link in here right
