Not surprised at the latest scandal.
Taking bungs is part of social tradition in most European countries.
A lot of stuff wouldn't get done if not for wads of cash changing hands.
It wasn't so long ago that Europe was ruled by dictators, corruption was part of the national fabric and officials at the bottom of the pecking order took bribes just to survive.
The EU may never get corruption down to UK levels, on the other hand, UK levels of corruption could rise to EU levels due to mass immigration and cultural change.
Fifty years ago who would have believed that in cities like London you could be hacked to bits for simply refusing to hand over your phone to some machete wielding thug.
