Hi,

I'm in the final stages of purchasing a house (we've exchanged and just waiting for the seller to move out ready for completion in two weeks). I'm designing the bathroom and come up with an idea I'd like to get some feedback on please.

The toilet and basin are wall mounted and what I'm proposing is to create a stud wall 200mm in from the exterior wall. In here will sit the pipes and cistern for the toilet. I'll screw aquapanel at 600mm centres and then tile over.

Access will either be provided by industrial strength magnets or hidden screws.

I'm aware of the various parts of it that will need building regs etc.

Thoughts?

An access panel in wall tiling looks like an access panel simply by design and is not easy to disguise.

You are sometimes better off only boxing out so far up then have a removable shelf.
