I have some trainers that I've had for ages and the are knackered but very comfy.

They are that bad now that my missus keeps throwing them out and for a joke I get them out of the bin and wear them.

I want to buy some new ones and tell her I had them refurbished but I can't find them.

What are my chances of finding them in a 10?

They are listed here but out of stock:

Look on eBay, some will turn up at some point, I've been buying up a particular (no longer made) model of running shoes for a couple of years now, stick an alert onto eBay and prepare for a wait.

There are some 8.5's on e-bay. I might get them and tell her she shrunk them in the wash

have you contacted the out of stock place and asked? they may have a single pair or can order a pair.

They aren't as bad as they look in the picture!!
Here's a better angle:

Why don't you just go to Aldi, Decathlon, etc, buy £15 pumps from there, and bin them every few months?
