If it's all as tight as tight can be and you're going for floor tiles, then 2mm difference on a bed of 10mm adhesive isn't likely to be a problem.
Personally, I don't really like floor tiles since if done incorrectly they'll crack, or you'll end up having to faff around with the grout etc (especially on a timber frame floor) and would go for altro vinyl or some decent bathroom grade laminate.
Matter of opinion and preference I suppose.
