Why thank you! LolThat's one of the most bizarre, laughably incorrect, "understandings" I've ever seen.

As I suggested some while ago, I've had it in mind for years, to devise a flag pole, and fly a Union Flag upon it. The present situation, and number of foreign to the UK flags I see, for instance, that of the avatar of morqthana - simply prompted me to get on with it recently.
I am equally dismayed, by fillyboys avatat, should it be any consolation?
To be clear - no I don't watch GB News, bother with tic-tok, or watch weird video on Youtube, to determine my opinion. Nor do I support the extremist Tommy Robinson.

Your beloved St. George was half Palestinian. It might be a good idea, for you to leave the UK, and go live in Palestine!

And/or possibly from what is now Turkey.Your beloved St. George was half Palestinian.
Depends on which bit of deep history you’re talking about, be careful what you wish for. I don’t understand why NOT flying a union flag on a pole outside your house means you are somehow unpatriotic, how did we get here? This deep history stuff is utterly pointless.

Literally nobody is saying that.Depends on which bit of deep history you’re talking about, be careful what you wish for. I don’t understand why NOT flying a union flag on a pole outside your house means you are somehow unpatriotic, how did we get here?

Who’s tearing them down?Literally nobody is saying that.
Fly the flag, or don't fly the flag. Just never tear down the flag of the country you live in. If you're really that disillusioned, just leave. Go find that utopia.
Mrs. Trellis said in a letter "I think wind turbines are a waste of money, the country's quite windy enough as it is".![]()
I must remember that one when trying to teach people about the pitfalls of assuming that association implies causation - and, in particular, the need to get the chicken and eggs the right way around!
Examples I commonly use include suggestions such as that fires become more serious if more fire engines are sent to them, or that the more 'equipment' one attaches to a patient, the more ill they become,etc.etc. - but I think I'll probably add your granddaughter's one to my repertoire![]()
