i am also having same problem with no hot water unless ch is on. i have an ALPHACB24/28 bolier only 3 yrs old... help!!!

Should start a new thread for your combi!

Again could be flow switch that sits just to the left of the diaphragm unit or the diaphragm or the DV stuck mid position.

You can pull the flow switch up and off the saddle of the DV and push in the ball on the bottom and see if it fires up the boiler.

Its most likely to be the diaphragm but commercially we would always aim to replace the whole valve which probably costs about £100.
