And their cases are rising now and the temp is now around 28oC.
The difference is perhaps not the weather (as it's getting much warmer) but the lockdown measures that are being loosened.

But arnt their houses designed to be cool?

Now I hate what thatcher stood for

Hate is a word commonly used by the loony left, be it directly against the right or in ascription to the actions of the right.

If you live in a predominately Labour area, you would not display a Conservative banner in your window for the very real fear of having that window broken. Likewise you would not admit to being a conservative person amongst lefties, knowing their quick propensity to haranguing, disruption and threats.

If you live in a predominately Conservative area, you will be most welcome; everyone will say "Good morning" to you and pass the time of day chatting, the birds will be singing and God will be in his heaven.

Who is the nasty party?

Anyway, back to bungling boris...

According to reports, we are going to have a 14 day 'self isolation' period imposed on visitors or residents returning. But not until the end of the month!
If it's that vital, then why wait another 3 weeks? And why wasn't it done ages ago as in other countries?

Plus they haven't worked out how to enforce it, and many people will apparently be exempt.

As usual it's incompetence and dithering of the highest order.
And merely utterances to make it sound like he is 'doing something'!

Andy lives in a world of fantasy.

Now I hate what thatcher stood for and what she did to this country.
Your not alone in that. There’s plenty like you. Most of them own houses bought at a huge discount that used to belong to their local council.

Subtle dig there. Unsupported and quite possibly wrong given the stats on house ownership being something for oldies and the Tory party skew to OAPs and badly qualified.

There are still some living thatcher-loving oldies like mottie. Most of them own houses bought at a huge discount that used to belong to their local council.

You believe the WHO (informed by scientists), yet acknowledge that this disease is confounding science (blood oxygen levels, for one)?

What is happening is that people are not initially showing outward signs of low blood oxygen levels - ie shortness of breath because their lungs are still able to blow off the carbon dioxide. If their oxygen levels continune to plummet then eventually they will be short of breath but by then it might be possibly to late to recover.

Silent or happy hypoxia is not new or specific to coronavirus as it can happen with other lung infections whether they are viral or not.

Well, I used to work with a woman who's dad was an active Labour Party die-hard and they hated Thatcher but when I reminded her that both she and her parents were able to become homeowners only because she and her parents bought their houses at a massive discount from the council under the right to buy scheme introduced by Maggie Thatcher, she would go strangely quiet.
