Hi,

I'm currently boarding out my loft and in the ceiling of my bathroom is two gu10 halogen fittings. Do i need to install fire hoods above them or can i just board over the top straight onto the joists?

No you dont need fire hoods, but they do need ventilation to avoid your house burning down.

Consider CFL lamps for these. clicky
