Guttering, facias and downpipe replacement.

Hi All,

I'm just looking for advice on pricing up replacement of our guttering, facias and downpipes.

We've had one quote advising that we need 40 metres (seamless aluminium guttering) downpipes and pvc facias and we are looking at a price of £4600. it is a 3 bed detached 8x6mts with 2 bay windows too gutter as well.

Obviously we're getting other quotes, and I'm just looking for advice on costing. £4600 seemed a lot higher than we planned.

Would we be able to save a large amount by using standard plastic guttering?

Any advice would be great.

Have you heard about seamless aluminium gutters? No, really heard about them?

brilliant... so basically like living in a bean tin caravan for the majority of the year!
We got another quote which included guttering, facias, chimney pointing and some form of tiles that should be added at the edge to stop water going back up (can't remember the exact name) for 2400 using upvc.
