Looking to put a heating plant in an outbuilding (attached to the house)

Would you put a heat meter and / or smoke alarm in that plant building area?

Presumably the user will need a certain amount of control within the main house to prevent the need to go outside, what controls would need to go in the house?

Any help would be great

What you (need to) fit will depend on the risks.

The type of heater / boiler / system will determine which you need.

A properly installed balanced flue would have a low risk of carbon monoxide building up but an open flue unit could have a high enough risk to require a carbon monoxide detector wired to the house. Walking into a plant room filled with carbon monoxide could be fatal.

My fault, I forgot to say that there will be a ground source heat pump being installed i.e. no gas or oil boiler, so no need for a CMD, perhaps a heat detector / smoke detedtor though?

put what you like in hteir n o one will hear it.

you need to have something that connects to it so you know inside the house its in alarm condition
