Hi All,

I have this photocell (Dusk to Dawn Sensor) which I want to connect to my flash light. The flash light has standard three pin cables (with UK plug). The sensor has following three wires. So I wanted to connect this sensor in the middle of the wire so that the light only turn on during night time.

Black (Brown) : L
Green(Blue): N
Red : Load

Now What I am confused about is whether or not this sensor is can be connected with standard Live,Nuetral & earth cables or is it only for house lights?

Before any further answers, alter the diagram to:

Red or Brown - L
Black or Blue - N
Green&Yellow - Earth.

Another Red or Brown - Load.

That leaflet is terrible.

Why do importers not produce sensible instruction leaflets in clear and sensible English and with accurate information relative to the UK for the equipment they sell in the UK Then require the manufacturers to mass produce these leaflets for the equipment they send to the UK.

With the obvious lack of care and expense with the one off task of designing the instruction leaflet one has to wonder how much care has gone into design of the equipment and how much cost reduction is applied to its manufacture.

I just hope the application isn't critical, and the photocell isn't near anything flammable.
