Hollow sofit vs solid

hi all....sofits on new build
10mm hollow or 10mm solid
£10 for a 5m length of hollow or £22 for solid
What would you choose and why (p.s if it was your place).....cheers

Depends on dimensions, solid if you can span in one piece if not hollow.Have solid everywhere except front ground floor which is around a metre deep so used hollow.

Cheers width is 200 mm and longest part is 50m thought of cutting
The 5m in half so its more easier for me to fit... not sure if

Don’t use hollow on a newbuild. It’s designed to be fixed to a solid backing.

Best do in longest length possible , the joint pieces are expensive by comparison.

Isn't hollow soffit generally in a grooved board profile and solid just smooth? So it's what you like the look of that counts.

Hollow at 90° to the wall supported off the fascia and F or P trim will self support without backing.
