I had my 2002 seat ibiza for a while now. When I bought it, the key fob wasn't working.
I had a few days off and some spare time, so I decided to change the battery of the fob. It is a simple procedure and so it turned out.
I swapped the battery out and tried the fob on the car. The 'LOCK' feature worked fine, but the 'UNLOCK' button wasn't working. I decided to carefully open the key fob again and look at the PCB.
Sure enough it is missing a part on the PCB on one of the buttons.
One button has a rectangular metal piece in between the PCB and plastic pusher, and the other button doesn't have this piece and so the plastic pusher is loose in the FOB.
Is there a way to replace such a small piece, or is there a way to copy it and make one myself? All suggestions welcome. Thanks
