How do I notify Building Control about proposed works ?

Went to my local councils Buildings control office to see what they could tell me about part p. I was given this leaflet. Look here.

Instead of asking them what they could tell you about part p, did you ask "How do I notify you about proposed work?" ?

Seems like they answered the first question.

I think this leaflet is V Good, tells you what you want to know. it's a shame information like this is not more readily available.

If you really want to get the local council involved, you need their "Building Notice" form, although there's no nationwide format and your local authority might call it by a slightly different name.

The leflet answers this question but doesn't mention being thrown into clink for breaking the law?
