How do I split internal mains wiring off for 2 purposes

I have emailed the seller. They wrote back and said it doesn't matter which way around the wiring goes.

Here is a picture. Could you give me your educated opinion on which is live and which is neutral?

The wire block has a white and black wire coming from one side, and black coming from the other to the pull switch. // /

The switch will be in the live conductor.

So the terminal at the top is your live
